Learning the language alone, however, is not enough. English offers a useful comparison: understanding English and speaking it confidently are two different skills. The same is true of Arabic. A learner may understand parts of various books yet still struggle to speak. Alongside reading classical texts, Arabic speaking and communication skills are therefore highly valuable. They open another important path to seeking knowledge.
